Children’s Christmas Shop

Wednesday, December 11, 6:15 , where children can purchase gifts for their family members  for just 50¢ each.   Proceeds to go UBC Missions.

We are collecting small, attractive gift items (for men, women, and children) that our children can purchase as Christmas gifts for their families.  Bring your donations to the Preschool Department by Sunday, December 8.

 

 

 

UBC Missions and Community Outreach Fair

Sunday, November 10, After Worship

This coming Sunday UBC will be hosting our first Missions/Community Outreach Fair after worship.  Representatives from eleven community agencies and organizations will be stationed in the Fellowship Hall to share information about their mission.  This is a wonderful opportunity for you, your family, and/or your small group to get involved with one these organizations to make a difference in our community.  Light refreshments will be served.

Monday Adult Bible Study Resumes

The Monday Adult Bible Study will resume meeting on Monday, September 9, at 10:30 am at Rosewood Village on Greenbrier Drive with our Associate  Minister for Education, Bob Badgett, leading the group.  All adults are welcome to attend this weekly Bible study.  Communion is served every second Monday.  Form more information contact Mister Bob.

 

Camp Young at Heart

It’s time to register for the 11th annual Camp Young at Heart – an Ecumenical Camp for Adults of All Ages.   This year Young at Heart is hosted by Aldersgate United Methodist Church located at 1500 Rio Road East in Charlottesville.  The 3 day event meets August 26-28 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.  The registration fee is $20.00 for one person or $35.00 for a couple.  The camp begins each day with a devotion time lead by our pastor, Michael Cheuk.  There will be 3 class sessions each day and a fellowship lunch time (bring your own bag lunch).  There is plenty of parking available, the building is wheelchair accessible and there is an elevator.
