Christmas Dinner in a Bag

On December 17th, we gathered and delivered 36 bags, each with enough food to feed a family of four for Christmas dinner, to Love INC to be distributed to needy families for Christmas.

Operation Christmas Child

We completed and delivered 152 shoeboxes full of gifts to Samaritan’s Purse Nov. 19th.

Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women

We delivered two large boxes of Hygiene kits and two large boxes of Greeting Cards Nov. 25th.

CBFVA—NY Mission Box

(UBC is not collecting items nor shipping boxes.  If your family, class or group wants to do this, you are responsible for collecting and shipping.)

At the request of Metro Baptist Church in NYC, CBFVA invites you to be the presence of Christ through the NY Mission Box project. By filling a heavy duty cardboard mailing box with the suggested items listed below, you can help individuals impacted by Superstorm Sandy and the storm of poverty and homelessness.
Toiletries (all in travel size)
‐ Shampoo
‐ Conditioner
‐ Toothpaste
‐ Toothbrushes
‐ Mouthwash
‐ Lotions
‐ Tissues
‐ Chapstick

Snacks
‐ Packs of crackers
‐ Chips
‐ Raisins
‐ Breakfast bars
‐ Granola bars
‐ Juice boxes

Clothing
‐ Heavy coats (larger sizesare especially needed because most people are layering their clothing)
‐ Gloves
‐ Socks
‐ Hats
‐ Sweaters
‐ Scarves
‐ Men’s pants (totally out of this item

NY Mission Box Instructions:
1) Gather a group from your church, and fill a box with as many of the items as
possible listed above.
2) CBFVA is not collecting boxes. Ship your box directly to the following address:
