Youth In Action
PACEM ~ Each January/February
OIAM (Operation Inasmuch) ~ Each spring
The Youth come together to spend a Saturday each spring doing yard work at the Kluge Rehab Center for Children as part of our annual Operation Inasmuch outreach event.
"And the King shall answer and say unto them, 'Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.’” Matthew 25:40
World Vision's 30-Hour Famine ~ Each April
Our Youth participate annually in the World Vision's 30-Hour Famine to raise money and awareness about world hunger.
Spring 2011 they raised $2,192.84, more than double their $1,000 goal.

Angel Tree Shopping ~ Each December
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides underprivileged children and seniors with holiday gifts - and proof that someone cares. Each December, our youth group adopts two local "angels." We take donations at church, then go shopping to buy them warm clothes and items on their wish lists. This is a great opportunity for our teenagers to give back during a holiday where they receive so many gifts themselves, helping to bring more love and joy to the Christmas season in Charlottesville.
Lock-ins and Retreats
Lock-ins and retreats are a wonderful way to spend time with friends in and away from church. This year our youth have been to retreats in West Virginia and Northern Virginia, to connect with students from other churches.
Super Bowl Party ~ Each February
Each year our Youth come together to cheer on their favorite team in the Super Bowl. An occassional minister will stop by to rock-out the half-time show!
Youth Super Bowl Party, Feb. 2011, with Pastor Leland.
