God has called University Baptist Church to minister to the University Community and to the residents of the Greater Charlottesville-Albemarle Community serving as agents of Christ’s love and justice for those in need and offering a vital family of faith.

The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is a global network of Baptists working to spread the hope of Christ. Being a part of this network helps Mid-Atlantic CBF connect to a diverse community of Christians who hold to the best of what Baptists believe and practice. As a fellowship of free and faithful Baptists, Mid-Atlantic CBF joins other congregations and individuals in creative ministry and missions to bring hope and transformation here in the Mid-Atlantic and around the world.

Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists
The Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists (AWAB) is devoted to building the Welcoming and Affirming movement within the Baptist traditions. AWAB has a unique call to be the national voice for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Allied Baptists in the US. AWAB supports churches in being and becoming Welcoming and Affirming of all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
