Young Adults

Young Adults gatheringWe have an active group of young adults in our church, consisting of graduate students and career young persons in their 20s and early 30s.

The Young Professionals Bible Study class meets on Sunday mornings at 9:45 in Room 209.

This group seeks to provide a community of care and support for each other as they endure the rigors of                                                                   graduate school and life in the “real world.”

Median Adults

Kairos Class Camping TripOur Median Adults are a very active and hands on component of UBC church life. From teaching Bible study, choir and mission classes to participating in mission trips and community outreach projects, our median adults provide key energy and leadership to the congregation.

Our Median Adults Bible study classes are designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities of the 30+ to 55+ stage of life.  Regardless of marital status – and in the middle of aging bodies, raising children and assisting our parents – we want to help you develop healthy and accountable relationships.  Our ultimate goal is to glorify God by serving and worshiping together.  There are two median adult Bible study classes:  the Kairos Class (that’s us in the photo — We are somewhere between 20-somethings and senior adults), and the New Life Class.  There is also a ‘Seekers’ Class,  a coed median/senior class covering a challenging range of Biblical studies.

Senior Adults

Senior AdultsThe senior adults make up a vital and active group in our congregation.  In addition to Bible Study every Sunday morning, the seniors have periodic fellowships and outings.  Past events include going to the Peaks of Otter for the fall foliage, periodic luncheons and devotions, seeing Oklahoma! at Ash Lawn-Highland, and enjoying overnight trips to Graves Mountain Lodge.
