Will Brown

Will Brown

Associate Minister for Community

Will Brown, UBC’s Associate Minister for Community, focuses on strengthening our congregation’s fellowship internally and deepening our engagement externally. In addition to helping church members find avenues for service and community within the congregation, Will is always eager to make connections with partner organizations in Charlottesville. Originally from Gretna, Virginia, Will came to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia, where he received a degree in Religious Studies and Music. While at UVA, he was involved in the Baptist Student Union and Jubilate, where he met his wife Erin, who was also involved with University Baptist Church. After a short time working in the office at UBC, Will attended Yale Divinity School and earned his Master of Divinity degree. Erin and Will also lived for a year in Nazareth, Israel, volunteering with a small Arab Christian seminary. After returning to the States, Will completed a hospital chaplaincy internship and residency at UVA Medical Center, before serving as UBC’s Ministry Resident for two years. Erin and Will are the proud parents of Luke, Seth, and Caleb.
