Breakfast and Bible Study
UBC welcomes all college students in the Charlottesville area to join us for worship each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. We also invite you to participate in our collegiate Bible Study class on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
University Baptist Church is committed to a ministry with university students. From our “Welcome to UVA Students” reception and luncheon in September to our graduate recognition service in May, student ministry is a way of life at UBC. The academic year is filled with opportunities for study, spiritual growth, fellowship and fun. During final exam period each semester, we open up our Fellowship Hall to provide snacks, coffee, tea, and “A Quiet Place to Study” for students. It is our goal to provide an encouraging and supportive community of faith to students during their time at the University.
Our Adopt-a-Student ministry seeks to provide a “home away from home” for students — especially first-years and freshmen. We have UBC families who love students, who can periodically invite them over to their homes for meals and/or to play with their children, who will take them out to lunch after church, offer a quiet place to hang out away from noisy roommates, and provide assistance in case of an emergency or advice in a variety of topics, including finding a good car mechanic or overcoming heart-break.
If you are interested in being adopted, please visit our Adopt-a-Student Ministry sign up page.
